Production Operative

Description

We’re looking for motivated and reliable Production Operatives to join our client’s friendly, hardworking team in Houghton-Le-Spring.

In this role, you’ll be manufacturing high-quality plastic frames for the construction industry within a fast-paced, hands-on production environment. It’s a manual job that involves using hand tools – ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, has a passion for DIY, or considers themselves a handy person.

What you’ll be doing:

Working as part of a busy production team

*

Using hand tools and power tools (experience is an advantage but not essential – full training provided)

*

Following instructions and working to company quality standards

*

Carrying out manual tasks that require good dexterity and attention to detail

*

Maintaining high health & safety standards at all times

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

*

Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment

*

Experience using air tools/power tools (strongly advantageous)

*

Experience working in a manual role with good hand–eye coordination

*

A positive attitude towards learning new skills

*

The ability to follow instructions accurately

*

A conscientious approach to quality and company standards

*

A reliable, team-focused attitude

*

Experience running machines in a production environment (desirable)

Shift Patterns & Pay:

We have two permanent shift options available:

Day Shift – Monday to Friday, 6:00am–2:00pm

*

£12.25 per hour (21+)

*

£10.00 per hour (under 21)

Back Shift – Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm–Midnight

*

£13.25 per hour (21+) – includes £1.00 shift premium

*

£11.00 per hour (under 21) – includes £1.00 shift premium
