Acorn by Synergie islooking for Production Operatives for our client, a fast–growing friendly company based in Central Widnes who supply flavourings to the health and nutrition industries.

Flexibility is key and hours of work will vary to meet the production needs, but full time hours are offered, Monday – Friday, initially on a temporary ongoing basis, with opportunities for permanent contracts and job progressions available

The rate of pay will depend upon experience and hours worked but will be betweeen 12.21 and 13.00 per hour

The role includes weighing, blending, testing and dispensing of batches in a fast–paced production environment.

Duties of the Production Operatives will include but are not limited to

Carry out the production of batches as per the requirements of the production plan.

Maintain accurate records of batch production, including measurements, materials used and batch/lot numbers.

Keep the work area and equipment clean and well–maintained.

Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, such as the handling of hazardous materials.

Assist in the upkeep of hygiene standards and workplace standards within the department, ensuring PPE, personal hygiene and H&S rules and regulations are always followed.

Operate and maintain mixing equipment, ensuring they are functioning correctly and safely.

Ensure proper handling and storage of raw materials and finished products.

Follow quality control procedures to prevent deviations and ensure consistency in product quality.

Escalate quality/health and safety issues with the supervisor.

Track inventory levels of raw materials and report shortages or discrepancies to supervisors.

Assist in the stock take of raw materials.

Ensure that all required information is being captured on relevant documentation

Engage for continuous improvement.

The ideal Production Operatives will:

Have previously worked in a manufacturing role ideally within a food production environmentBe keen to learnHave a positive can do attitudeHave excellent communciation skillsBe health and safety awareHave excellent manual handling skillsBe flexible regarding working hoursExperience working on a BRC accredited site where standards are kept high enough to be audit ready at all times and experience of food hygiene and HAACP regulations would be a distinct advantage for the roleFull training is provided and the most important aspect is that any candidates come to work ready and willing to learn and interract with the rest of the team.
