Production Manager – Chemicals

45 to 55k depending on experience

Our client is a market–leading, family–owned chemical manufacturing business that has been trading successfully for 60 years. They are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Production Planner/Manager to join their dedicated team in a pivotal leadership role.

In this role you will have full responsibility for day–to–day operations, production planning, staff supervision, and troubleshooting, ensuring the smooth running of all production activities.

This is a demanding role requiring a proven track record in leadership, planning, and production management within a manufacturing, chemical, or FMCG environment. You will be responsible for a broad range of tasks in the following key areas:

Production Leadership & Troubleshooting

Production Planning & Scheduling

Process Efficiency & Continuous Improvement

Health, Safety & Compliance

Staff Development & Communication

Cross Department Coordination

Candidate

Proven leadership experience in chemical, FMCG, or related manufacturing production. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Production Manager. Background in SME / family run manufacturing businesses. Strong planning, problem–solving, and organisational skills are essential. Hands–on management style with the ability to step in when required. Excellent communication and people management skills. In–depth knowledge of Health & Safety, COSHH, and best manufacturing practices. A proactive, solutions–driven mindset.
