Description

Production Engineer – Glasgow (Permanent)

Apex Resources are working with a high-tech engineering company in Glasgow that designs and manufactures bespoke products for advanced industries. This is a newly created, permanent role, added due to ongoing growth with a high-tech client in Glasgow. The position offers the chance to support products from prototype through to manufacturing. Every product is unique rather than mass-produced. You’ll play a hands-on role in creating processes from scratch and ensuring a smooth transition from engineering to production.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and refine manufacturing processes to support new product introduction.

* Work closely on prototypes, ensuring they move effectively into production.

* Identify and deliver process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.

* Design and adapt tooling, jigs, and fixtures to support assembly processes.

* Prepare and maintain production instructions and documentation.

* Provide hands-on support to production teams.

* Collaborate with design engineers to align engineering and manufacturing needs.

Preferred Skills & Experience

* Must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance.

* Strong background in manufacturing, process, or production engineering (formal degree not essential if you bring solid industry experience).

* Proven ability to develop and improve production methods.

* Experience with electrical and/or mechanical assembly.

* Knowledge of tooling, jigs, and fixtures

* 3D CAD experience (e.g., SolidWorks) is a plus.

* Practical, problem-solving mindset and a strong team player.

Salary - DOE £35,000 - £40,000
