Description
Process Engineer
Maesteg
To £40k depending on experience
We are seeking a Process Engineer to lead continuous improvement, optimise production, and embed a culture of quality, efficiency, and reliability across our client’s manufacturing operations.
You will be the bridge between Production and Engineering, using Lean principles to reduce waste, enhance processes, and coach teams to deliver their best. From creating robust SOPs to leading Autonomous Maintenance programs, you will ensure smooth integration of new products, process upgrades, and technical changes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead Lean improvement projects to boost efficiency and quality.
* Develop and maintain SOPs and Work Instructions.
* Train operators in diagnostics, maintenance, and process control.
* Analyse and resolve root causes of equipment issues.
* Optimise ERP routings, timings, and BOM accuracy.
* Monitor KPIs for reliability, downtime, and quality.
The Person
Essential
* Engineering background with manufacturing experience.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and preventive maintenance.
* Proven skills in Lean, process optimisation, and root cause analysis.
* Confident in training, coaching, and engaging teams.
Desirable
* Lean Yellow/Green Belt,
* Production staff training experience.
