Location: Buxton, Derbyshire, SK17 9RZ

Salary: GBP25,636.96 to GBP37,639.19 per annum, DOE + Attractive Benefits Package!

Contract: Full time, permanent

Shifts: To support a 24/7 operation

About the role Printer:

You will be responsible for supporting the Lead Printer with operating a flexographic printing machine whilst ensuring your print operations are conducted in a safe and controlled manner.

Additionally, you will work with the Printer to maximise press uptime in line with KPI s, taking account of running speeds and opportunities to achieve operational efficiencies.

In addition o this, as our Printer you will be specifically responsible for:

Helping to set up and operate print machinery to optimum levels. Ensuring that the machinery and surrounding area are maintained in line with required health, safety, environmental, hygiene and housekeeping standards. Ensuring that all spills are logged and cleaned immediately. Working in line with site standards for BRC, ISO & A2 environmental. Operating processes in line with lean manufacturing techniques including SMED and the 5S principles. Maintaining press consumables to ensure a continuous supply including loading/offloading of master reels and loading/offloading of inks on the print press. Managing and operating the press in the absence of the Lead Printer, including rest breaks. Reporting any non–conformities to the Lead Printer or Shift Manager. Supporting with the training of colleagues as and when required. Contributing to shift handovers to ensure a smooth transition and continuous production. Assisting with general cleaning and maintenance of print equipment. Working with colleagues in other areas e.g. Ink Technicians, Mounters etc. to maintain production standards. As a matter of routine, you will ensure the press is in an appropriate operational condition and in the absence of the Lead Printer, you will make sure that the next shift has been briefed on where production is up to and any other relevant production issues.

In order to be successful in this role you must have:

A minimum of 2 years experience within a customer service role. Microsoft Office sills with Excel skills to an intermediate level. Excellent verbal and written Communication skills. Positive can do attitude. The ability to work well within a team and on own in order to achieve common goals and objectives. Attention to detail and accuracy when complying reports.
