Description
Job Title: Power Press Setter
Location: Coventry, CV7
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: GBP33,500 per annum, rising to GBP35,000
Hours:
Current (2025):
Monday – Thursday: 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
Friday: 9:30 am – 3:30 pm
Normal Hours:
Monday – Thursday: 10:15 am – 7:00 pm
Friday: 9:30 am – 3:00 pm
Company Overview:
A well–established and forward–thinking manufacturer based in Coventry is currently seeking an experienced Power Press Setter to join their production team. The company operates in a dynamic and evolving sector, and is in a strong position despite wider market fluctuations.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate mechanical power presses ranging from 150 to 200 tonnes
Read and interpret technical and engineering drawings
Perform quality checks to ensure components meet required specifications
Conduct routine maintenance on power presses and report any issues
Work closely with production teams to meet output and quality targets
Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, including PUWER compliance
Requirements:
Proven experience setting and operating mechanical power presses
Valid ROSPA or PUWER qualification (essential)
Solid understanding of press safety procedures and tooling
Ability to work from detailed engineering drawings
High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality
