Description

Job Description: Plastic Extrusion Operator Overview We are seeking skilled and motivated Plastic Extrusion Operators with expertise in plastic extrusion, plastic conversion, polythene processing, and film lines to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate should have hands–on experience in machine setting and a proactive approach to ensuring production efficiency, safety, and quality. Responsibilities Operate, adjust, and oversee plastic extrusion and conversion machinery to produce high–quality goods in compliance with production standards.Set up and configure machines, including film lines, to ensure optimized operations for specific production requirements.Perform regular maintenance and troubleshoot issues with machinery to minimize downtime.Monitor production quality and ensure adherence to specifications, identifying defects or inconsistencies and implementing corrective measures.Ensure all safety guidelines are followed, maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard–free work environment.Collaborate with the production team to meet daily targets and deadlines efficiently.Keep accurate records of production activities, machine performance, and maintenance logs.

Qualifications Proven experience in plastic extrusion, plastic conversion, polythene processing, and film lines within a manufacturing environment (DESIRABLE).Proficiency in machine setting and adjusting production equipment (ESSENTIAL).Strong problem–solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve machinery issues swiftly.Basic knowledge of production metrics, quality assurance, and health & safety compliance.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team–oriented environment.Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.Physical ability to stand for long periods and handle manual tasks as required.Commitment to inclusiveness, equity, and respect for all team members.

Day–to–Day Set up and calibrate machines for the day's production runs.Monitor machine performance and product quality throughout the shift, addressing any deviations promptly.Conduct routine checks and cleaning of machines to ensure readiness for uninterrupted production.Work closely with other team members to meet production objectives, exchanging feedback and ideas for continuous improvement.Maintain accurate records of production outcomes, adjustments made during shifts, and maintenance activities.Actively participate in safety meetings, training, and initiatives to uphold workplace standards.
