Description

We are working with a respected food manufacturer in Hertfordshire to recruit a skilled Planning Manager with a strong background in scheduling. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast–paced and quality–driven business where your expertise will directly impact operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

The Role:

As the Planning Manager, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and optimising the production schedule to ensure smooth operations across the site. You will work closely with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure resources are allocated effectively and products are delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage detailed daily and weekly production schedules.

Monitor progress and adjust plans to address changes in demand or operational issues.

Liaise with multiple departments to ensure alignment between scheduling, production, and customer requirements.

Maintain accurate data in ERP/MRP systems and generate reports for senior management.

Identify opportunities to improve scheduling efficiency and reduce downtime.

About You:

Proven experience as a Planning Manager or Scheduler within the food manufacturing industry.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross–functionally.

Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast–paced environment.

The Offer:
