At Springvale Care Home, we’re looking for a Night Shift Manager who is not only clinically skilled, but also a natural leader someone who thrives on responsibility, motivates others, and ensures our residents receive the very best care every night.

This is more than a night role, it’s about making a real difference when it matters most.

Your Responsibilities

As Night Shift Manager, you will oversee the running of all four units at Springvale. You’ll be the senior decision-maker on shift, directing and supporting nurses, senior carers and carers, ensuring residents feel safe, supported, and cared for with compassion.

Lead the Clinical Team: Meet residents’ medical, physical, and emotional needs by leading with skill and kindness.

Ensure Compliance: Uphold our clinical governance framework and maintain the highest standards of care at all times.

Motivate & Mentor: Supervise, guide and inspire colleagues—helping them achieve their learning objectives and grow in confidence.

Provide Leadership: Be the point of authority throughout the night, stepping in where needed and ensuring smooth, safe operations.

Resident Support: Act as a named Nurse, providing attentive, personalised care for residents with varying needs and complexities.

Drive Excellence: Promote a culture of continuous improvement, setting a high standard for clinical practice across the home.

About You

We’re looking for a confident, proactive leader who is passionate about delivering outstanding care.

NMC Registered Nurse with a valid PIN

Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making ability

Previous leadership experience, with the confidence to manage teams

A supportive mentor, keen to develop colleagues and bring out their best

Experience working with older people is an advantage, though not essential

Ready to step in for the Home Manager when required
