The Role:

ATA Recruitment are seeking an experience multi skilled maintenance engineer to support the maintenance department in a fast–paced manufacturing environment. Your key responsibilities are to maintain a vast range of automated process and packaging equipment. You will work along side a team of 6 shift engineers and 1 apprentice. My client has order books full and are expanding their team and have created 3 new positions to meet the upkeep and sales.

Their site was fully upgraded 6 years ago and are always keen to make continuous improvements to ensure a smooth running of the production process.

Main responsibilities of the maintenance engineer:

– Carrying out mechanical fault finding, repairs, and planned maintenance across production equipment

– Working on conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and packaging machinery

– Supporting breakdowns, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement work

– Assisting with installation and upgrade projects across the site

– Maintaining safety standards and ensuring all work complies with site procedures

What you will need as a maintenance engineer:

– NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)

– Proven experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment

– Strong fault–finding and repair skills

– Team player with a proactive, problem–solving approach
