Role:

Our client is seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials including steel, stainless steel and aluminium. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work to tight tolerances. As a Fabricator/Welder, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, ensuring that components are assembled accurately and efficiently.

The role also requires the candidate to make ‘built up letters ‘whether they be in stainless steel or aluminium .It will involve using a laser cutter / router and letter bender (Training to be provided)

Responsibilities

* Perform TIG welding and MIG welding to fabricate metal components in steel, stainless steel and aluminium to a high standard.

* Work with sheet metal and machined parts to create precise components according to specifications.

* Use hand tools and power tools effectively for deburring, shaping, and assembling materials.

* Read and interpret technical drawings to understand project requirements.

* Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet tight tolerances required by our customers.

* Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety regulations.

* Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance productivity.

* Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks.

Requirements:

* Experience within MIG / TIG welding

* Demonstrate skills within a fabrication department

* Vast knowledge of working within the aluminium / sheet metal fabrication industry

* Signage experience preferable but not essential

* Experience with 5S and/or Lean manufacturing

* Positive attitude

* Courteous

* Good eye for detail

* Self-driven, results oriented with a positive outlook

* Ability to work in a team.

To have a flexible approach is essential (some additional hours may be required to fulfil the requirements to ensure deadlines are met).

Have an ability to work under pressure.

Be a motivational team player, having the ability to use initiative and possess a positive attitude.
