Description
We're seeking a mechanically–minded Maintenance Engineer for a specialist manufacturer in Mildenhall, Suffolk. This well–established company is growing rapidly and needs your expertise to support their expansion. You'll be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of 16 multispindle lathes and other key production machinery, all operating on a 24/7 schedule. Salary is competitive and dependent on experience, with experienced engineers potentially earning up to 40,000.
Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Duties:
Maintaining and providing upkeep to 16 multispindle lathesFull disassembly/reassembly of components and machineryReplace bearings, conveyor belts etcFault finding of machineryOperate around a 24/7 working scheduleReactive and PPM proceduresDesired Skills:
Manual lathe operation experience5 – 10 years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing environmentFlexibility to work outside of standard working hours when requiredAbility to transition your skills to other machines and aspects of productionWhat are the benefits?

Previously successful candidates have come from a background in manufacturing and transitioned to maintenance, providing them with a strong knowledge of lathes and other relevant machinery
The standard working hours for this position will be 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday (40–hour week), with some flexibility being necessary.
