Manufacturing Operative FLT

Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Operator with a Counterbalance FLT Licence to join our clients dynamic team in a technical production and manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of production and manufacturing processes, ensuring that batches are mixed efficiently and meet the highest standards of quality. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of our products while adhering to health and safety regulations.

THE ROLE:

* Operate and monitor production mixing machinery to ensure optimal performance and adherence to production schedules.

* Accurately measure and mix raw materials according to specified measurements and components, utilising basic maths skills for precise calculations.

* Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

* FLT driving throughout the day to maneuver pallets of raw materials and finished goods around the shop floor

* Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets while maintaining high standards of quality control.

THE CANDIDATE:

* Basic maths skills for accurate measurement and mixing of raw materials

* Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure while adhering to deadlines.

* Must have an FLT Counterbalance licence

* Experience in a production or manufacturing setting, working with raw materials.

* Be technically minded and have the ability to understand the process for the manufacture of their product during training

THE SALARY AND BENEFITS:

* 6-2/2-10 rotating

* 06:00 - 14:00 - £12.50 per hour

* 14:00 - 22:00 - £15.00 per hour

* Pension scheme of up to 10%

* Extra weeks pay at Christmas

* Breaks are paid.

* Time off in lieu (TOIL) employees can take time off work instead of receiving overtime pay for extra hours worked

* 23 days holiday pay + 6 balance days (extra time off)

* increase in pay once fully trained and competent in the full process

* Temporary to permanent position, you will be given a contract depending on timekeeping, attendance and success.

* 2 week shut down during summer holidays.
