Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Colchester
Salary: up to 40,000
Prime Appointments is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join a well–established industrial manufacturing company in Colchester. This role involves working closely with Production and Manufacturing teams to improve processes, support daily operations, and drive continuous improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and update Standard Operating ProceduresSupport and guide production staff to ensure smooth operationsQuickly resolve production issues and perform root cause analysisRecommend and justify capital investments with clear ROILead and support Lean manufacturing and quality improvement initiativesAssist with New Product Introductions to ensure manufacturabilityManage tooling and fixture procurement and replacements.Help maintain equipment and improve TPM practicePlan and coordinate factory layout changes with relevant teamsTrack department performance metrics and support EHS compliance.Ideal Candidate:
Mechanical engineering qualification (HND or degree preferred)Familiarity with assembly, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systemsStrong knowledge of Lean toolsExperience in a manufacturing or production environmentBenefits Include:
