Job Title: Machine Operator - Weekday Nights x2 & Weekend Nights x2

Location: Launceston

Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent

Hours:

Weekday Nights (x2 roles):

Monday to Thursday: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Friday: 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Paid Hours: 7.4 hours per shift

Weekend Nights (x2 roles):

Friday & Saturday: 9:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Sunday: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Paid Hours: 7.4 hours per shift

Pay Rates:

Weekday Nights:

Initial Rate (Nights): £16.41 per hour

After 12 weeks ( Nights): £20.04 per hour

Weekend Nights:

Initial Rate (Nights): £16.41 per hour

After 12 weeks ( Nights): £21.71 per hour

Weekend Shift Allowance: £2.96 per hour (only on worked shifts)

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor production machinery to meet performance targets

Conduct routine safety and quality checks

Identify and report machine issues or malfunctions

Follow standard operating procedures and health & safety guidelines

Work efficiently within a team to ensure smooth work flow

Maintain a clean and organised work area

Candidate Requirements:

Previous experience in a manufacturing or machine operator role preferred

Ability to work night shifts consistently, including weekends

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Self-motivated with good problem-solving skills

Physically fit and able to manage repetitive tasks and long-standing periods
