Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our client based in Dunstable. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a variety of practical skills to perform maintenance and repair tasks across different facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to problem–solving and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. The Handy Man will be responsible for ensuring that all repairs and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

They are also looking for someone who will be happy to do cleaning which involves cleaning toilets/canteen etc.

Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 16:30

Pay rate GBP12.21ph

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance and repairs on buildings, fixtures, and equipment. Conduct routine inspections to identify issues that require attention. Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot problems effectively. Weld components as required for various tasks. Maintain an organised work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored correctly. Requirements

Proven experience in a similar role with strong mechanical knowledge. Proficient in electrical systems maintenance and repair. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English. Strong problem–solving skills with a logical approach to tasks. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects when necessary.
