Extrusion Machine Operator

Red Rock Partnership are delighted to be working with our prestigious client in Leeds LS9 who are looking for Extrusion Operators to join their busy team.

About The Role:

To support the production Extrusion and Reclaim and warehouse in their day-to-day duties and to ensure all aspects of Health & Safety are fully met.

This is an ongoing position on a temporary contract.

Working a continental shift pattern of two Days 7am to 7pm and two night 7pm to 7am with 4 days off please be aware this will include weekend and bank holiday working.

Pay Rates are £12.36 and can increased when multiskilled on other roles within the business

Overtime is paid at 1.5x over standard working hours.

Roles and Responsibilities:

* To maintain the required hygiene standards on the extruders by undertaking a robust cleaning/painting schedule.

* Support production in their ‘clean as you go’ standard in an as and when.

* Supporting in the warehouse by performing a number of duties i.e., Loading and unloading of vehicles pertaining to the warehouse; maintain warehouse cleanliness using the floor scrubber, internal stock movements.

* Train in basic extrusion knowledge so the role can eventually support the production team and succession planning.

* Trained to use Silo blower and resin drier

* Trained on the core cutter.

* Emptying of large bins into external skips

* Cleaning duties during machine shut down

* Helping support the production team with the running of the in-house recycling machine.

About you:

* Knowledge on Health & Safety and hygiene standards

* Ideally PPT & Counter Balance licence (training can be provided)

* Willingness to understand the manufacturing process

* Ability to work both efficiently and effectively alone, as well as part of a large and varied team.

* Enjoy working to deadlines and targets in a fast-paced environment.

* Enthusiastic, committed and flexible to the demands of a fast-paced business with a significant amount of change.
