Description

Electrical Day Engineer

Location: Workington

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Our client, a global leader in manufacturing, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their engineering team on a permanent, full–time basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for day–to–day engineering operations at the Cumbria site. Working as part of a proactive maintenance team, the role focuses on minimising downtime and enhancing overall productivity. While many tasks will be team–based, there will also be occasions where independent work is required.

We are looking for a self–motivated and driven individual with a positive approach to problem–solving. A willingness to learn and adapt to a wide range of equipment is essential. This role offers the opportunity for growth, and consistent high performance could lead to further career development within the organisation.

Responsibilities:

Onsite maintenance and engineering support for site assets to ensure OEE ismaximisedWorking on planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedulesAssisting shift engineers on reactive maintenanceCompleting planned maintenance tasks designated by Engineering Team LeaderPrioritising workload.Working in a positive manner and is open to a new tasks and challengesFully utilise Stock control systems including input, management and improvementactivities associated within.Training and development of co–workers as required i.e. apprentices and othermaintenance department staff.Ability to use CMMS system for maintenance purposes

Knowledge and Experience

Time served mechanicONC/ HNC in engineering
