Description

Following a recent team change, we are looking for a skilled and motivated CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate a range of CNC machines to support and enhance our production capabilities. Your primary objective will be to produce high-quality components while maximising spindle up time.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate high-speed CNC machines for milling, drilling, tapping, grinding, and related tasks

Oversee and operate additional machine shop equipment as required

Ensure all necessary tooling, fixtures, and CNC programs are prepared before starting production

Accurately record production data, including quantities and scrap, on relevant documentation

Maintain high standards of quality and output throughout the production process

Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications to understand job requirements

Perform basic program edits and manage tool tables

Take full ownership of component quality and associated records

Monitor, check, and replace tooling and cutters as needed

Load raw materials and components into machines

Monitor and refill lubricant levels

Apply knowledge of 3-axis and 4-axis CNC machining and Renishaw probing systems

Adhere to all company safety procedures and operational protocols

What We're Looking For:

The ideal candidate will have:

Proven experience operating CNC machinery

Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

Good communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines

A proactive, organised, and self-motivated approach to work

What We Offer:

Full-time role: 40 hours per week over 4 days

Transition to a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern after training (6 months)
