CNC Machinist / Programmer – PM Shift

Salary: £27,040 to £33,280 per annum DOE + 15% Shift Premium

We have an opportunity for an organised individual with manufacturing background to join our production team.

The CNC Machinist / Programmer role

To carry out all CNC Milling operations as directed by production supervision. To assist in the work carried out in any other production area when and where the need arises.

Who you will interact with

* You will be part of the Production team, reporting to PM Team Leader.

* You will be fully supported in your position by others across the business.

CNC Machinist / Programmer Requirements

You must have worked for a minimum of 2 years within a manufacturing industry.

Your normal hours of work will be 37½ per week on our ‘late’ shift, i.e.

Monday – Wednesday 1.30pm – 11.30pm

Thursday 1.30pm – 11.00pm.

Essential attributes to succeed

* Must be able to work under your own initiative, but also to work as part of a team.

Key skills required

* The ability to read engineering drawings, mainly Third Angle Projection drawings.

Your responsibilities

* Carry out production duties as directed by Team Leader.

* Participate in the quality control process relevant to the work carried out and to ensure all the defective work is immediately brought to the attention of the Team Leader.

* Carry out any relevant administrative tasks.

* Ensure workmanship is to the required standard.

* To assist in any production area / duty when required.

* Participating in quality control processes to maintain the highest standard of products.

* Contributing to continuous improvement projects, offering valuable insights and ideas.

* Working diligently to maintain a high standard of manufacturing output.

* Carry out production duties as directed by Production Supervision.

* To assist in any production area / duty when required.

* Production plant, machinery and equipment.

Duties

* Look after the company’s interests at all times.

* Maintain strict confidentiality on all matters relating to company business.

* Ensure that the company’s procedures are followed.

* Maintain good housekeeping practices.

* Comply strictly with the company health and safety policy.
