We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading UK packaging manufacturer, seeking an experienced Multi-Point Folder Gluer Operator to join their high-performing production team in Huntingdon.

The Role:

As a Folder Gluer Minder, you'll be responsible for setting up and operating high-speed folding and gluing machines—producing bespoke corrugated packaging to precise customer specifications. You’ll be expected to manage performance, oversee packing staff, and ensure your line hits speed, waste, and quality targets.

Shift Pattern:

You’ll work a double-day shift on a rotating weekly basis.

Early Shift:

Mon–Fri, 05:30 – 13:45 (38.75hrs/week)

Late Shift:

Mon–Wed, 13:45 – 00:00

Thurs, 13:45 – 23:45

No Friday work on late shift week

(All shifts include a 30-minute unpaid lunch break)

Key Responsibilities:

* Machine setup and changeovers to hit optimal speeds and achieve target OEE

* Operate folding and gluing machinery (Vega, Signature, Bobst, Diana preferred)

* Work to precise specifications, client-approved samples, and quality standards

* Identify and resolve minor machine issues and material concerns proactively

* Supervise assistants and packers to maintain an efficient line

* Conduct daily maintenance and contribute to TPM schedules

* Maintain clean and safe working areas using 5S methodology

* Communicate clearly with supervisors regarding output and performance

Experience & Skills Needed:

* Minimum 2 years of gluing machine experience essential

* Confident with a range of formats: 4-corner trays, crash-lock cartons, book wraps, corrugated envelopes

* Proven ability to carry out fast and accurate make-readies

* Familiarity with folder gluer performance metrics and OEE targets

* A proactive, methodical, and quality-focused mindset

* £17.34 – £19.51 per hour, depending on experience

* 26 days paid holiday plus bank holidays

* Permanent role with a 6-month probation
