Job Title: Band Saw Operator / Despatch Operative
Location: Halesowen
Salary: £12.52 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Friday: 7:00 AM - 12:30 PM
Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Band Saw Operator / Despatch Operative to join our team in Halesowen. This is a hands-on role within a heavy steel industry environment, ideal for someone with proven experience in band saw operation and despatch duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate band saw machinery to cut heavy steel materials to specification.
Ensure all cuts meet quality and safety standards.
Prepare finished products for despatch, including packaging and labelling.
Use heat shrink wrapping equipment (preferred).
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Assist with general warehouse and despatch duties as required.
Requirements:
Essential: Previous experience operating band saws in a heavy steel industry.
Preferred: Experience with heat shrink wrapping.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good attention to detail and commitment to safety.
