Description

Our client, a distinguished leader in the automotive sector, is currently seeking an Assembly Technician to join their team on a contract basis at their Midland Technical Centre in Leamington Spa.

Role: Assembly Technician (6 months contract)

Location: Leamington Spa

You will be responsible for the preparation and build of gearboxes and axles for low volume, high value driveline systems for a variety of customers.

Knowledge and experience required:

Good mechanical assembly and/or test skills.The ability to prioritise tasks, organise work, and make sound decisions.Navigate basic systems and processes while undertaking a range of tasks. Knowledge of quality standards, equipment management and maintenance.Problem solving skills and the awareness to escalate larger problems.Support investigations and contributes ideas for continuous improvement. Minimum GCSE in Mathematics and English (Grade C or above).Likely to have served a traditional apprenticeship or have relevant experience.Assembly and / or end of line test experience of mechanical and hydraulic systems.Ability to use measurement equipment such as vernier, micrometer etc.Intermediate level of PC and general computer skills – good working knowledge of MS office.Good organisational skills. Is self–motivated and proactive.Awareness of automotive quality control processesAccountability:

Manages time effectively and prioritises tasks to meet set deadlines.Demonstrates integrity, takes responsibility for actions and decisions, acknowledges errors and develops plans to prevent recurrence with support.Pays attention to detail while following strict quality, health, and safety procedures, and implements good judgment to make appropriate decisions. Shows vigilance and diligence, maintaining high standards of work while staying calm under pressure.Additional

Expected to be UK based as this job requires you to be onsite 5 days per week.
