Description

Manpower is recruiting for Mechanical Production Operatives. Recent graduates in Mechanical/Engineering to gain experience in the battery or chemical industry, or individuals with operation experience in chemical/pharma or related industries would be ideal for this role. This is a 6–month temporary contract with the potential to go permanent for the right person.

Pay rates:

12.50 for days 15.00 for nightsShift pattern:

4–day shifts, 4 days off, 4–night shift, – no changes to this shift pattern – Rotational shifts.Duties include:

Operation of the pilot plant equipment (training provided)Assembly and disassembly of plant equipment for either maintenance or troubleshooting (training provided)Monitoring of production processes and fault diagnosisHandling and preparations of raw materials and productsEnsuring high quality standards are maintained throughoutAdhering to all health and safety regulations and guidance as well as promoting a safe cultureActing as members of site Emergency Response Team.Keeping high standards of housekeeping Criteria:

Eligible to work in the UKMinimum NVQ/BTEC qualification in a mechanical or scientific field is preferable but not essentialExceptional attention to detailExperience following Standard Operating ProceduresComfortable working with tools (Assembly and disassembly of plant equipment)Able to perform manual handling tasks lifting the HSE specified whilst wearing a respiratorFlexibility to work shifts and support the production activities through overtime (always agreed, never imposed)Understanding of hazards associated with chemical reactions, pressure, temperature, gases, powders, solvents and hazardous materials handling in generalGood communication skillsPC literateFirst aid trained (will be provided)Forklift licence would be desirable, but not essential as training will be providedThis is a fantastic opportunity to work with a friendly, environmentally conscious team, so please apply today and one of our representatives will be in touch shortly.
