Warehouse Team Leader

Kidderminster (On–site only)

40,000 – 45,000

A leading defence manufacturer is seeking an experienced Logistics/Warehouse Team Leader to oversee and support all day–to–day logistics and warehousing operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dependable and driven individual to lead a high–performing team in a fast–paced, technical environment.

You will be responsible for supervising staff, coordinating daily operations, optimising warehouse processes, maintaining accurate inventory through ERP systems, and ensuring timely and safe delivery of materials across the site.

Key Accountabilities –

+ Supervise and motivate a logistics/warehouse team to meet operational targets.

+ Manage storage facilities across site and oversee the flow of goods and materials.

+ Maintain accurate records using ERP systems (e.g., Tropos) and conduct regular audits.

+ Support health, safety, and environmental policies through inspections and risk assessments.

+ Coordinate the maintenance of warehouse vehicles and equipment.

+ Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support Lean practices.

+ Ensure compliance with DGSA duties including incident reporting and staff training.

+ Collaborate with internal teams and support cross–functional meetings.

People Management Duties –

+ Lead by example to promote high standards across the team.

+ Carry out performance reviews (PDRs) and manage team training and development.

+ Monitor attendance, conduct return–to–work interviews, and manage staffing levels.

+ Support informal performance management and disciplinary processes where needed.

Essential Qualifications & Experience –

+ GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade 4 or above).

+ Valid Forklift Truck Licence (ideally Counterbalance).

+ Proven experience leading a team in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.

+ Proficient with Microsoft Office and familiar with ERP/MRP systems.
