Warehouse Supervisor - Basildon (Mon-Fri, No Weekends Unless Rota)Salary: GBP32,500 Full-time On-site Secure Site Role
A well-established logistics and freight business in Basildon is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to support its growing operations. This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in warehouse management who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys leading from the front. You'll be working with a close-knit team where attention to detail, safety, and accountability are core to the company culture.
Essential Requirements (Please Read Carefully): Full UK driving licence (required for in-house vehicle shunter training - HGV not needed)
Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (minimum 3000kg); Flexi FLT is a plus
Clean DBS check - required prior to employment
Proof of right to work in the UK
UK nationals: passport or birth certificate + NI proof
Non-UK nationals: current immigration status (no sponsorship available)
5 years of employment history (no gaps preferred)
Must complete basic arithmetic, spelling, and attention-to-detail assessments at interview
What You'll Be Doing: Overseeing warehouse operations, ensuring all freight is handled safely and securely
Supervising a team of operatives and maintaining adherence to company procedures
Managing loading and unloading of containers with attention to groupage logistics
Ensuring cargo is properly documented and any damages or shortages are reported
Maintaining forklift equipment, completing daily/weekly checks, and ensuring warehouse cleanliness
Participating in alternating shift coverage:
Early: 07:00-15:30
Mid: 09:00-17:30
Late: 11:30-20:00Flexibility is important based on operational needs.
What We're Looking For: At least 4 years of warehouse experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role
A stable employment history - reliability matters in this secure role
Strong attention to detail - this is absolutely essential
Experience with container loading/unloading and groupage
