Transport Planner

Description

A busy and expanding logistics operation is seeking a Transport Planner to manage day-to-day transport planning and execution within the domestic pallet network. This role requires a commercially aware, detail-oriented individual with strong organisational and communication skills to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and compliant movement of palletised goods.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate transport movements using both in-house and approved external suppliers.Plan and schedule collections/deliveries, ensuring route efficiency and customer satisfaction.Monitor real-time shipment progress, resolving issues as they arise.Liaise with drivers, depots, and customers to maintain on-time performance.Ensure compliance with all transport regulations and company policies.Manage supplier performance and enforce service level agreements (SLAs).Maintain accurate records and data entry into transport/logistics systems.Report on KPIs, operational issues, and cost performance to senior management.What We're Looking ForPrevious experience in transport or pallet network operations.Strong planning and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office.Flexible, proactive, and professional approach.Working hours:
