Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are delighted to be partnered with a leading manufacturing & distribution organisation, in the search and selection of a Transport Manager, within their developing and transitioning logistics function.Transport Manager

Responsibilities:

You will lead daily transport operations, ensuring service quality and compliance with safety standards for both people and equipmentAct as the named Transport Manager for our Operator License, upholding both internal expectations and external regulatory standardsChampion a proactive safety culture, aligned with our commitment to preventing all incidents, and lead inclusive risk prevention initiativesLead, support, and develop teams across multiple sites, fostering a culture of inclusion, respect, and high performanceManage budgets, resource planning, and productivity, using data and insights to support continuous improvement and equitable resource useCollaborate with colleagues in Sales, Production, and Customer Service to ensure transport operations are aligned with shared business goals Background & Experience required:

Transport Management CPC is required, or a willingness to work towards it with supportExperience managing transport operations across multiple sites, with a focus on collaboration and service deliveryFamiliarity with SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) standards and approaches to managing operational riskExperience managing budgets and performance using KPIs, with a focus on continuous improvement and accountabilityStrong leadership and people skills, including experience building positive working relationships in unionised environmentsNEBOSH and ADR qualifications are desirable, and we're committed to supporting training and development in these areasKnowledge of industrial gases or similar sectors is a plus, but not essential Demonstrate integrity and inclusive leadership, role modelling behaviours that contribute to a respectful, safe, and welcoming workplace
