MONDAY - FRIDAY: 7AM - 5PM

GBP45,000 PER ANNUM

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a TRANSPORT MANAGER to join our well-established LOGISTICS LEADER based in TRAFFORD, MANCHESTER on a full-time permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering an amazing annual salary and room to grow and progress.

You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day transport operations, managing drivers and HGV fleet performance, and ensuring full compliance with legal and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily transport operations across multiple routesEnsure compliance with transport legislation and O-licensingMonitor driver performance, fuel usage and delivery KPIsLiaise with clients, suppliers and internal departments to meet service expectations What We Are Looking For

Proven experience in a transport management roleStrong knowledge of logistics regulations and route planningExcellent leadership and organisational skills Benefits

Ability to manage and motivate drivers, supervisors and administration staffStrong team building and conflict resolution skillsTransport legislation knowledgeIn-depth understanding of transport laws, tachograph rules, driver hours, and Working Time DirectiveExperience managing Operator's Licence complianceRoute planning and logistics coordinationEfficiently plan routes to minimise fuel costs and meet delivery deadlinesAbility to respond quickly to breakdowns, delays or changesFleet managementOversee maintenance schedules, vehicle servicing, and inspectionsEnsure the fleet is roadworthy, legal, and cost-effectiveHealth and safety awarenessPromote and enforce safe working practices across the transport operationConduct risk assessments and incident investigations Desirable Experience

CPC qualification (National/International) desirable Training
