GXO is currently seeking a talented and driven individual for the role of Transport First Line Manager, to join us on our The Entertainer site in Banbury. You ll lead a team of people and coordinate activities to achieve business goals; through focussing on continuous improvement and promoting a team based culture.

This is a full–time, 12 month fixed term contract position. You will work Monday to Friday, 07 30, however flexibility will be essential at peak times, this is logistics after all!.

You ll be paid a salary of up to GBP28,922 per annum. What you ll do on a typical day:

Manage the allocation of work on a daily basis, controlling headcount and overtime budgets and ensuring cost, quality and delivery targets are met Create and maintain a positive team culture and spirit, encouraging involvement from all team members when sharing group, divisional and team information Develop and maintain appropriate daily, weekly and monthly reporting mechanisms to monitor, control and improve performance Conduct low level disciplinary meetings, counselling sessions and resolution of grievances where appropriate

What you need to succeed at GXO:

Demonstrable experience within a similar role, experience supervising a team and an operational understanding of a fast–paced transport environment Strong leadership skills with excellent communication skills, to champion a can–do attitude Experience of managing conflicting priorities, along with planning and organising skills You will be comfortable taking responsibility demonstrating commitment and leading by example
