Job Title: Logistics Operative / Stores Operative

Location: London

Job Type: Contract – 3 Months

Department: Logistics / Supply Chain / Warehouse

Pay Rate: 15.00 PAYE

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail–oriented and proactive Logistics Operative with proven experience in warehouse operations and forklift truck (FLT) handling. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the logistics process from goods receipt to dispatch, ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency in all activities.

This role plays a key part in ensuring timely and accurate handling of materials, from receiving and storing goods to preparing and dispatching shipments.

Key Responsibilities

Perform approved logistics processing operations including goods receipt, storage, transport, and dispatch in accordance with scheduled timelines.Receive incoming goods and verify against shipping documentation, checking material numbers, descriptions, and quantities.Inspect goods for visible damage, document any issues, and report as necessary.Safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet trucks.Accurately capture and record data in relevant warehouse or ERP systems.Manage storage, picking, and movement of goods, ensuring correct documentation and inventory tracking.Conduct regular stock maintenance and support inventory checks within the warehouse.Assemble and review deliveries for completeness and accuracy based on delivery notes and order requirements.Package goods in compliance with shipping guidelines, including handling of Dangerous Goods as required.Prepare shipping documents and ensure they are included with outgoing consignments.Carry out internal and, where applicable, external transport of goods using appropriate vehicles and equipment.Requirements

Essential:

Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, or logistics environment.Valid forklift truck (FLT) license and proven operational experience.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and order picking.Ability to work safely and efficiently with minimal supervision.Good communication and teamwork skills.Desirable:

Experience working with ERP or warehouse management systems.Knowledge of handling Dangerous Goods and shipping regulations.Rullion supports applications from a diverse talent pool.
