Logistics & Export ManagerLocation: Manchester, United KingdomEmployment Type: Full-Time (initial 6 month FTC)

Reed is currently recruiting for an experienced Logistics & Export Manager to join a well-established and innovative manufacturing business based in Manchester on an initial 6 month basis with a view to becoming permanent. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead export logistics operations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), supporting the global distribution of various products.

Role Overview: As Logistics & Export Manager, you'll be responsible for managing the full export process from UK manufacturing sites to international customers. You'll ensure shipments are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and in full compliance with international trade regulations.

Key Responsibilities: Oversee international shipments via road, sea, and air (FCL, LCL, break-bulk)Ensure compliance with Incoterms, export controls, and customs documentationCoordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokersPrepare and manage export documentation: commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, EUR1/ATR formsCollaborate with internal teams to align shipping schedules with customer expectationsMonitor logistics KPIs and drive continuous improvementStay informed on regional developments affecting logistics operationsEnsure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards Candidate Profile: Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, or related fieldMinimum 5 years' experience in international logistics / export managementStrong understanding of Incoterms, export documentation, and EMEA customs regulationsERP system experience and freight cost analysis skillsExcellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities What's on Offer: Competitive salary and benefitsSupportive and dynamic team cultureOpportunities for international travel and career progressionA chance to make a real impact on global operations Interested?
