Logistics controller

Description

My client are looking for a Logistics Controller to oversee and coordinate their shipment activities, inventory control, and supplier interactions to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Key responsibilities for the logistics controller

Coordinate and manage international and domestic shipments (Sea, Air, Road), ensuring timely deliveries and compliance with customs regulations.Maintain accurate inventory control, including material purchasing and stock replenishment based on forecast and departmental needs.Handle RFQ and purchase order processes, liaising with suppliers and managing records through internal systems.Oversee consumables stock levels, ensuring operational teams are well–supported.Track and report on logistics performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and cost–saving opportunities.Experience required for the role

Previous experience in logistics, shipping, or supply chain management.Strong knowledge of import/export regulations and documentation.Proficiency in inventory management systems (Excel/macros, ERP, or barcode systems experience is a plus).Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work cross–functionally.A solution–driven mindset with great attention to detail.
