Victorian Vintage Hallway pendant light - Grand Gothic style

This grand Victorian style pendant light is a large, electrically fitted reproduction piece echoing the 1890s Gothic style. With a classic bronze black metal finish, this pendant light exudes the opulent style popular during the Victorian era. Perfect for adding a touch of historical elegance to any high ceiling room, this antique reproduction fixture is sure to be a statement piece.

This nearly black metal (probably statuary bronze) pendant light has been hanging in our Victorian Villa entrance hall since at least the 1990s. It is unlikely to be original with the house, as electricity only came to Portsmouth 50 years after the house was built. But it looks old and antique and definitely a bit Gothic. There is a dated label in the rose, but that may not relate to the rest of the lantern.

The rose is dark bronze metal with a dark bronze metal chain.
The lantern itself is made of dark bronze looking metal, with 6 bevelled glass lantern sides. The chain supports the main structure, from the metal ceiling rose, with an inner hook suspending a 3 "candle" light bulb swing within the lantern.

We are renovating our house and re-plastering our ceilings and we are sad to see it go, but will be happy if it finds a home.
