Description
Robust, good quality self-propelled leaf vacuum, made by MTD in Cleveland, Ohio (USA). This machine runs and operates well, with a 5hp 4-stroke Briggs & Stratton petrol engine. Originally supplied by Radmore & Tucker in Exeter. It’s an older machine with some surface rust on the metalwork, but it’s very solid and well-built, and has loads of life left in it. It propels itself forwards when you hold down the lever on the handlebar, and you can vacuum up leaves etc. using the hose attachment or the shroud, both of which attach easily to the front fan housing. The leaves collect in the big bag under the handlebars, which is easy to unzip to empty. It does blow as well, but I’ve never used it for that. Only selling as I’ve got a smaller Stihl blower now and I could do with the space.
