Honda, VFR, 1988, 748 (cc)

Description

This is a Honda VFR750FJ, first registered in April 1988. I acquired it in May 2001 so have owned it for more than 24 years. I used it regularly, covering close to 50000 miles with a variety of commuting and pleasure use and in this time it was serviced on schedule and wanted for nothing. Sadly, a few years ago it was stolen, and a few weeks later, after apparently being used to commit crimes, it was discovered, and returned to me. I originally planned to recommission the bike and put it back into use, but a change of circumstances professionally means I no longer require the bike for commuting and I have acquired a more suitable machine for my occasional pleasure rides. I would suggest that this could be restored back into use, parts availability isn't too bad for these, or, alternatively, it could serve as an excellent source of spare parts if you already own one of these. It has, for example, a full stainless exhaust system, fitted by me at considerable cost, things like the brake discs were new not long before usage ceased, etc. There is, sadly, various damage around the bike that comes from being stolen. I have no doubt that this will be of use to someone. Clearly, you won't ride this away, a trailer or van will be necessary for collection.
