Owned since 2020, with thousands invested in maintenance and upgrades.

Engine & Performance:

• Fully reconditioned Range rover P38 4.6L V8 petrol engine fitted with a top hat cylinder liner conversion (£3,000 spent, only 21,000 miles since installation).

• Professionally installed LPG/Autogas system (£1,500). The tank holds 60L, giving ~180 motorway miles per fill—approx. £60 cost), the original petrol tank is still fitted allowing for a full range on both LPG and Petrol, combined range approx 600 miles.

• The original 4.0L engine (prone to cylinder liner slippage, a common issue in these models) was replaced with the upgraded 4.6L in 2020. **I have pictures of the new engine pre install if required as it builds history for a future buyer**

Key Features & Upgrades:

• Winch bumper & Tuff Roks underguard for off-road capability.
• 5x All-terrain tyres in excellent condition (£850 value).
• Rear air suspension replaced with a 2” lifted spring setup.
• Rear tow hook.
• Full leather interior with heated front seats (working).
• All lights have protective grills
• Snorkel.
• Bike Rack
• 7th seat removed to accommodate the 80L LPG tank The seat is included in the sale.
• Upgraded head unit with a flip-out touchscreen, Bluetooth, USB, and DVD playback. (Original radio & CD changer included but not currently connected.)

Recent Work & Maintenance:

• New alternator & water pump fitted.
• All wheel hubs replaced except front nearside (As and when you see the 3 warning lights appear, known as the 3 amigos, this will likely be the cause).
• Rear chassis repairs carried out as needed; mid and front section of chassis in good condition (visible on inspection).

Known Issues (To Be Aware Of):

• Front power seats & electric windows not working—traced to the BCU (Body Control Unit). A replacement BCU is included but needs programming.
• Central locking operates manually via the driver’s door key, but the remote isn’t working (could be key battery or control unit). Comes with 2 keys (spare + remote).
• Air conditioning needs regassing (heating/cooling fan works fine).
• MOT is due in May, If it has not sold by then I shall get a new one.

Final Notes:

This Discovery 2 drives well and is mechanically solid, with any older Land Rover, it requires ongoing care. If maintained properly, it will serve for many more years.
