Defender 90 1986 200tdi private sale
V5 in my name, HPI clear, Genuine 142K miles, full engine rebuild and clutch/cambelt done at 132K miles, Gearbox and Transfer box in great condition with all oils changed regularly (last change at 140k miles), Coolant system flushed, and coolant changed at 140K miles. Chassis in very good condition with lots of welding and sealing carried out recently, minimal surface rust on bulkhead. Diff locks all work perfectly. Injectors cleaned and pressure tested and Bosch VE fuel pump refurbished 2023. Front hubs recent grease change. Brand new headlights fitted July 25.
This was originally a V8 petrol but has been converted to a 200 tdi engine and LT77 gearbox from a Discovery 2. The axles are also from a Discovery 2 (so disc brakes all round), it’s basically a Disco 2 in a 90 chassis. All bushes have been replaced with Nylon type bushings, and it has a brand-new fuel tank fitted. I have worked on this for years and spent literally thousands on it, it easily has another 100k in it minimum. Super reliable, starts on the button and pulls really well. Tyres V good condition.
It has 12 months MOT (included) and is Tax and MOT exempt (from 2027) as she will then be 40 years old and qualifies as a classic. Cheap insurance. Ready to drive away. I have loads of paperwork and receipts for £1000s of work carried out.
