I have owned this for about four years and it has been absolutely brilliant and extremely cheap to run - this is the best car I have ever had!

It has always been totally reliable and is in lovely condition throughout. Finished in dark grey and only 97K.

The engine fires up instantly whether at a motorway service station in the height of the summer, or first thing in the morning in the winter and knee deep in snow. It then runs like a sewing machine, every time. The clutch and gearbox are silky smooth and it is a pleasure to drive.

The worst economy I have had was 57mpg (which was a succession of stop/start city centre driving), though it is usually about 60mpg, and the best ever was a very long journey where it returned 67mpg.

Bad point (one):

It has an intermittent fault with the electric power assisted steering. When it does fail there is a dashboard warning light on and the power assistance does not work. Turning the engine off and on again fixes it. Because of this I have not put it through another MOT as I know it will fail due to the dashboard warning light. However the car is drivable as it is. I have been told that it may need a new steering angle sensor / plugging in to a gadget (a gadget I do not have, and would not know how to use anyway) and the ‘fault’ cancelling, but the garage cannot do this for three to four weeks and as I need the car every day I have bought another one.

Due to the strong demand for Kia Vengas because of their reliability and phenomenal economy this should retail at about £3,000 so grab yourself a bargain as for sale with no reserve.

Should be an easy fix for the right person.

I hope it goes to someone who wants a good family car rather than a car dealer who will simply make a lot of easy money.

Due to the fault with the power steering, this is being sold as for spares or repair

This car is driveable as it is, and in a straight line such as on a motorway or an A-road the fault is barely noticeable. (I drove it 75 miles home with the fault as it is.) Obviously on mini roundabouts, if doing a three point turn, or turning sharply into your driveway, the steering is very heavy indeed.
