Description

I am selling my 2009 Kawasaki Versys 650. While there are signs of age, the value of this bike is in its preparation and pedigree. As a big fan of this motor I bought it in 2021 with 40,000 miles, unphased by the mileage. It now has 64.000 miles. Its preparation was in three steps

Step 1; Essential maintenance.
Valves clearances checked and adjusted to the upper limit of tolerance, new plugs, air filter, new coolant, new brake fluid, and oil and oil filter (reperated at subesequent intervals).

Step 2; Preventative maintenance.
New Kawasaki stick coils, new clutch cable, new throttle cables, new taper roller steering head bearings, forks stripped cleaned new oil and oil seals fitted, OE brake lines replaced with braided hoses (front and rear), brake calipers stripped cleaned new oil seals and dust seals fitted (front and rear), new wheel bearings fitted (front and rear), new battery fitted, new chain DID ZVM-X Super Heavy Duty X-Ring Premium Gold and sprocket fitted at 54,000 miles, new clamp and gasket for down pipe/silencer joint, new rear disc fitted, new bulbs all round (main, dip, side, indicators and number plate)

Step 3; Accessories
Heated grips, Top box, centre stand, mirror extenders, headlight protector, radiator guard, fender extender, GB Racing engine case protectors, side stand big foot, Hand guards, Hugger.

Pedigree.
I include pictures of this bike at the North Cape, 2022, Norway, the mainlands most Northern point and at the Dark Canyon, 2025, ( AKA Karanlık Kanyon ) , Turkey (650 miles east of Istanbul). Both trips were solo adventures clocking up 6000+ miles each, without incident, and this bike is ready to go again. Plus multiple continental trips.

MOT until 01 April 2026. New brake pads and tyres fitted for trip to Turkey. The bike comes with two keys for ignition, panniers, and top box.

Reason for sale; old age and cost prevent me from doing the final two adventures planned for this bike, Ushuaia, Argentina and Prudoe Bay, Alaska.
