1971-75 Epiphone Japan E230TD Casino - Sunburst - Trades

Description

Desirable vintage Japan-built Epiphone Casino finished in Sunburst. The Casino is an instrument heralded in music law thanks to the players that wielded them - including the Beatles, Keith Richards, Paul Weller to name but a few.

The serial number of this original example is 017042, and the blue internal Matsumoku factory label dates this to between 1971 and 1975. Our customer originally purchased this in Japan and imported it to the UK.

In very good condition for age, a good honest used guitar with no breaks/ repairs and all electrics functioning properly. The frets are in very good condition with minor wear (lots of life left in them), there are some swirls and scratches to finish on very close inspection, and some chipping to headstock. Some tarnishing to metal and some oxidisation especially to trapeze. Very minor lacquer checking around the input jack, and the binding is tight to the body - it's a superb example.

It features a laminated/hollow Maple thinline body with a comfortable Mahogany neck with a relatively slim profile, Rosewood fingerboard with Parallelogram inlays, Trapeze tailpiece, and vintage style tuners. The twin P-90 pickups give players a clear, ringing tone that could be pushed into overdrive when needed – perfect for lots of genres.
