This lot will be auctioned via Hampson Auctioneers, The Hampson Auctions Sale at Oulton Park on Sunday 27th July from 12noon, Little Budworth, Tarporley, CW6 9BW.
Presented in the striking combination of Radiance Red Metallic with a tan fabric hood over cream leather upholstery, this early XK8 Convertible offers classic Jaguar elegance combined with modern V8 performance. The vendor informs us the car benefits from a full service history and retains its original book pack. In recent years, it has been treated to a refurbished and serviced gearbox, new steering pump, new spark plugs, four new tyres, and replacement rear discs and pads.
Launched in 1996 as the spiritual successor to the XJS, the Jaguar XK8 marked a new era for the marque, being the first model powered by the new 4.0-litre V8 AJ26 engine. Designed with input from both Jaguar and parent company Ford, the XK8 blended refined performance with luxurious appointments and quickly became a favourite among grand touring enthusiasts.
