Production Operative

Impact Recruitment is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company based in Northampton. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Operative to join their growing team on a full-time basis. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in precision work, process-based environments, and chemical handling.

Location: Northampton

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £12.21phr - £13phr

Working Hours: 9am - 5pm (Monday - Friday)

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out the safe handling and application of materials, including the correct use of chemicals in line with COSHH regulations

Inspect components visually and technically before and after processing to ensure quality standards

Apply and remove masking materials accurately according to technical drawings or guidelines

Use handheld tools and spray guns as required (prior experience preferred)

Record production data, inspection results, and process information accurately

Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment

Practise correct manual handling techniques when working with delicate or complex parts

Work collaboratively with colleagues to optimise workflow and maintain productivity

Follow all health, safety, and cleanliness procedures to ensure a safe working environment

Candidate Requirements:

Experience or training in handling chemicals safely (COSHH) is highly desirable

First Aid certification is an advantage

Understanding of manual handling best practices

Proven background in quality-focused or detail-oriented production environments

Familiarity with spray guns or other precision tools is beneficial

Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team

Due to the nature of the contracts held by our client, successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS Check prior to commencement.
