IT Field Service Support Engineer (Northern Ireland)

Belfast - remote with travel required

£30,000 - £33,000 + car allowance + perm benefits

A leading charity origination is currently recruiting for an IT Field Service Support Engineer who will work in a tech transformation programme, alongside providing local issue resolution, support, advice and guidance for Northern Ireland. One of your main responsibilities will be to analyse, troubleshoot and fix first- and second-line technical support for all technology-related infrastructure, architecture, software and supporting our end-users across the country.

Key Responsibilities

IT For Service Users support

1:1 support as well as any general IT support requiring a service visit after initial support or triage from our ServiceDesk.

Printer support (ordering & moving MFD's, configuration and support)

Telephony & Communication platform Support (office landlines, broadband telephone lines and telephone systems, SIP and VOIP guidance)

Service mobilisations, opening, closing, moving offices and changes to internal layout of offices.

Corporate & Guest networks and Wi-Fi (installation, configuration and support)

Skills

Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policies

Working knowledge of Ticketing Systems and Asset Management

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365

Understanding of telephony technologies/terminologies would be advantageous (e.g. SIP, VOIP PSTN)

Experience in installation of network & comms equipment (routers, switches) and configuration of access points is advantageous.

Cisco Meraki system knowledge is advantageous

Experience in the set-up of mobile phones and apps and use of MDM is advantageous

Experience in the configuration and support of printers including driver mapping is advantageous

Essential to be organised and have attention to detail and good written and verbal communication skills.

Essential to be able to support and communicate complex technical solutions to staff with a non-technical understanding
