Description

Our public sector client is looking for an Information Governance Support Officer to join them on temporary basis.

Location: Coalville

Pay Rate - £18.50ph/£20ph

Hours – 21 hours (3 days per week)

Core Responsibilities:

Support the Council’s Legal Services Team and Data Protection Officer in meeting statutory obligations around data protection, freedom of information, and information governance.

* Conduct audits and support business change to improve records management.

* Draft reports for Committees and Corporate Leadership Team (CLT).

* Liaise with internal teams, elected members, and residents.

* Carry out records management tasks including audits, file reviews, and overseeing secure file disposal.

* Review and develop information governance policies.

* Conduct Information Sharing Agreement reviews.

* Support completion of Data Protection Impact Assessments.

* Work with ICT to ensure information asset security.

* Maintain accurate and current information on the Council’s website and SharePoint.

* Provide general support to the Data Protection Officer and Legal Team.

Additional Responsibilities:

* Continuously seek service improvements and efficiencies.

* Engage in personal development and participate in the Council’s appraisal scheme.

* Uphold high standards of health, safety, and equality in the workplace.

* Represent the Council professionally and contribute to a positive organisational reputation.

* Perform any other duties relevant to the role as required by management
