Description

Control Room Consultant - Emergency Services - £600 per day - Inside IR35 - 6 months initial contract - travel expected to Chorley and Warwick at least once a month respectively.

About the Role -

We are looking for a highly skilled Control Room Consultant to play a key role in integrating control room systems with the Emergency Services Network (ESN) service. This position will see you working closely with police, fire, and ambulance services, ensuring that mission-critical control room solutions are fully ready for ESN connectivity.

To be successful in this role, you must have worked within or in very close collaboration with the police, fire, ambulance, or other Emergency Services - ideally within a control room environment. This insight is vital to ensure that technology and device solutions meet the real-world demands of frontline operations.

What You'll Do -

Lead all technical aspects of integrating control room systems with the ESN service.

Interpret and communicate interface requirements, configuration needs, and testing processes to User Organisations.

Work closely with senior stakeholders across emergency services and system suppliers.

Represent control room integration at onboarding governance meetings, offering expert insights and practical resolution strategies.

Ensure all onboarding deliverables are achieved on time, within scope, and on budget.

Who You Are -

Experienced in emergency services control rooms (police, fire, or ambulance) or have a proven background working as a supplier into emergency services control rooms, liaising with senior operational leaders.

Skilled in the development, design, configuration, testing, and operation of control room systems.

Strong knowledge of ESN architecture, integration approaches, and the Airwave service.

Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.

Capable of managing complexity, adapting to change, and thriving in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Commercially aware with a customer-focused mindset
