Overview
We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Support Engineer to join a growing cloud services team. This is a permanent role focused on delivering high-performance, secure, and reliable hosting solutions through contributing to the wider support function, resolving technical issues and working closely with customers.
Key Responsibilities
Support infrastructure upgrades: Windows Server (2016+), Active Directory, SQL Server, Exchange, SharePoint, Remote Desktop Services, Office, Microsoft 365, and Veeam Backup.
Assist in the build, configuration, and ongoing support of cloud infrastructure.
Provide level 2 reactive support in line with agreed SLAs.
Communicate technical updates clearly to customers.
Deliver a proactive managed service and become a trusted technical advisor.
Support cloud migration projects, including UAT, pre-live checks, and go-live processes.
Resolve advanced infrastructure support tickets, assist 1st/2nd line teams, and act as the first point of escalation for cloud-related issues.
Manage hosted environment configuration and administration.
Monitor and maintain backup systems (daily/weekly), perform restores, and support disaster recovery testing.
Essential Skills & Experience
Strong background in network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/Firewall technologies).
Microsoft Windows Server (2016+) administration, Active Directory, Group Policy.
Experience with Hyper-V, clustering, and high-availability environments.
Working knowledge of Remote Desktop Services and Microsoft 365 (admin, security, and troubleshooting).
Technical support or systems engineering experience at server and networking level.
