Job Opportunity: Endpoint Migration Technician (3-Day Contract)
Location: Newton Abbot, UK Dates: 30th August - 1st September (3 days on-site) Rate: £160-£200 per day (depending on day of the week)
Project Overview
We're seeking a hands-on IT Technician to support a short-term endpoint migration project for approximately 60 users. This is a fast-paced, on-site role ideal for someone with solid experience in device setup, Windows installation, and user support.
Key Responsibilities
Confirm devices meet Windows 11 compatibility (8th Gen CPU, 8GB+ RAM, SSD)
Replace and deploy new user devices (unboxing, desk setup)
Format and reinstall Windows via USB (USBs provided)
Enrol devices into Microsoft Intune
Configure and verify OneDrive and Outlook (Classic)
Apply Windows updates and security patches
Add printers as needed (primarily on Monday)
Update migration tracker as devices are completed
Provide general user support, especially on Monday
Requirements
Experience in IT support, device deployment, or migration projects
Familiarity with Windows 11, Intune, OneDrive, and Outlook setup
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
Ability to work independently and efficiently on-site
