A Huge Thank You to Julie for Our Stunning Kitchen and Dining Remodel We are absolutely thrilled with our fabulous new kitchen, dining area, and the beautiful extension to our home, thanks to Julie’s incredible design expertise. Our goal was to create a spacious kitchen with enough room for a large table to accommodate extra family members during the holidays. We also wanted a cozy space where we could feel connected to the garden, even in winter. The area where we built the extension was previously underutilized, essentially a dead space next to an older conservatory-style extension that served as our dining area. Since I work full-time in a high-stress environment, I knew I needed expert advice not just for the remodel but also for the interior design and finishing touches. Julie provided the perfect service. The original kitchen and extension had several beams and levels that made the space feel overcrowded. Julie suggested lifting an existing beam and lowering the breakfast bar to align with the kitchen sink. This simple change made the kitchen feel more open and allowed more light in. While we initially considered extending the glass along the entire side of the new space, Julie recommended incorporating bespoke banquette seating instead. This design allowed us to seat more guests comfortably while maximizing space. Julie also carefully listened to my preferences regarding color schemes. I wanted the space to feel light and airy, and she came up with a fresh, calming color palette. To add depth and warmth, she suggested incorporating wood finishes and velvet patterned curtains. Initially, I was hesitant about the fabric choice, but it turned out to be the perfect decision. The curtains tie the room together beautifully, adding a cozy and inviting touch. The dining area, with its banquette seating, has been designed to feel distinct from the rest of the space. Wall lights and picture lights enhance its coziness, while a different color scheme helps set it apart visually. Julie also took care of sourcing and purchasing all the necessary items for the interior design, staying within budget, which allowed us to add a few extra touches. She provided detailed CAD plans and mood boards that helped us visualize the final look throughout the process. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with the results. The entire project, from the remodel to the interior design, has exceeded my expectations, and the aftercare has been exceptional.
